All Terrain Croc Tires
The Photo Above shows the pneumatic tyres on the Scari Chizel Plough before 4 of them were
replaced with 4 x 10-16.5Mk2 All Terrain Croc Tyres
The trial application for 4 Airless Croc Tyres to be fitted to the Scari Chizel Plough pulled by a Case lil MX 240 Tractor.
In total there were 4 x 10-16.5MK2 All Terrain Tyres and 4 x 12-16.5Mk7 Mining Tyres purchased by the Farming Company but only 4 of the 10-16.5Mk2 All Terrain Croc Tyres were used and were fitted to the outsides of the Scari Chizel Plough.
One of the farmers, called Andrew said they were in a hurry to get the paddock completed and seeded before the rain, so they didn't have time to put the other 4 larger Croc tyres on. They left the other 4 original Pneumatic Tyres in place on the plough and these would be swapped over with the 4 x 12-16.5Mk7 Croc Tyres in a couple of months when they need to plough again.
The Case lil MX240 Tractor was put to work in a very rocky and sticky paddock pulling an attachment to clean up the rocks and sticks.
Fast Forward March 8 2020.
Andrew remarked,
The All Terrain Croc Tyres have done about 50 Hours in a very rocky and sticky paddock and they haven't got any marks on them, whereas the normal pneumatic tyres were getting shredded. So they seem to be going very well.
It will be a couple of months before we put the other 4 larger Croc Tyres on because we have finished this farming project for a while.
